In this day and age, it is important to support small business that are hurting BECAUSE they value life and maintain the standards that are needed. They do their best to maintain COVID standards unlike a lot of the places I have been to and I feel comfortable that I am safe there with the HUGE building and the social distancing that is available, maintained and adhered to. The owners are personable and relatable! The music is top notch and the drink prices are cheaper than going downtown by a LANDSLIDE! The shows will knock your socks off and I am surprised at the quality for the low cover price. Ps… reading the gayzette online is like a dream.Excellent Staff!!! Say hi to Dawn while you are there.she is AMAZING!!!! Always friendly, tries to know everyone, remember things about them AND help with whatever needs to be done. And if they are, people aren’t being very open about it. I’m just sayin…) couples aren’t so prevalent. It was especially interesting considering at both JR’s and Tracks (where clientele seems to be overwhelmingly white. Apparently they want people to know that “this one belongs to me.” People in couples didn’t seem to dance a lot outside of the couples. One of the interesting things I did notice about el potrero is that there were a lot of couples, distinguished from us lowly single folk by the holding holding of hands or waists or cheeks. though they’ve always got ad space in both the gay newspapers. The restaurant/club doesn’t seem to have a big online presence. this is definitely the latest addition to the urban circuit. The drinks were expensive and there was a cover but it was well worth a good 5 hour set. The music was a mix of techno, merengue, hip hop, cumbia, and reggueton. And mostly by beautiful latino ladies and gents (mostly gents) who I’d never seen before. By 10pm, strobes and lasers were flashing around. By 11, the place was packed. At the time, I kept thinking, all they need now is people…. The music was really good starting as early as 9:30. I went to El Potrero for the first time this past saturday and, first of all, it was a great party. But conveience alone does not a hot spot make. In their favor, it was very convenient, being right off 17th and pearl, blocks from JR’s and Mary’s. Probably some music and more than one staff person there at a time.

What would it take to make the place more fun and energetic?… that is, outside of a blo and go. Just test and go (Kind of like “ blo and go” on Craigslist). No fun stories about where to hang out that night. Anyway, I got my hiv results back and I’m supposed to call in 10 days for the rest of them. I was a little surprised but I forgot that’s how they test for all the other stuff.
#El potrero gay bar denver professional
He was very professional about it but i wanted him to be more friendly and fun. I filled out the paperwork, he asked me some questions, drew some blood (blood! who does that anymore?!), started the test, and I went to pee in a cup. very cute) before the guy called me to fill out some paperwork. In any case, when I got there, there was only one guy doing testing. I got the change to look around the small house (it’s in a house-office. Kind of like if the gay dazbog was a place where people went to actually do things. With at least a few gay guys hanging out, working, talking to eachother about who they just met/saw/slept with. I don’t know why but i was expecting it to be a lot like a fun office. It turns out they’re a program out of CAP (the Colorado AIDS Project for those out of the loop) and they basically do testing for gay men. I gotta say. It’s that weird slogan you sometimes see on the top on connexion. So I got a chance to visit hey denver this past week.
